Let me start by admitting that I haven't owned one before. Saying that I can't believe I did this for so long with my fingers. It does it in a third the time and more evenly making the final product smoke more evenly. it also comes with a pollen press which I have never heard of before. I had to stop by a shop to find out what it did. It takes the finely sifted "pollen" and forms it into packed disks so you can consume it without the plant matter underneath. You would need alot for it to be of use, but it is a neat idea. For the price I can't imagine finding a better similar product.

This is a great deal, a grinder and a press for only 16 bucks. Grinders in a head shop will run you 30 or 40 dollars. However you get what you pay for, the grinder works but the top section is loose and magnet between it and the rest of the grinder can barely hold the two pieces together. It does grind but its not on the same level as a sharpstone or a chromium chrusher. I haven't gotten a chance to use the press yet but it is pretty well built compared to the grinder. Get it if you need one not if you need an upgrade.

I was skeptical about getting this grinder because people say the black paint would chip off. I have been using it frequently the past 2 days and have not noticed any chipping yet. The teeth are actually silver, unlike in the picture where they look black. (only the top part is black). This grinder is a perfect size. It produces a fine grind and herb falls right through the holes, it doesn't get caught like in other cheaper grinders. The teeth are very sharp, after just a few turns all the herb material fell through. The pollen press works great, just pack in your pollen and tighten the other end on. After a few hours you will have a solid tablet of kief. this is a great grinder for the price, get it!

This grinder is a great deal - it does what's advertised, and I'm happy with the purchase.
This is quick and easy to use, does a good enough job, and has decent "fit and finish". The seller was great - I received it very quickly, well packaged, completely painless transaction.
I do recommend this item, but here are the "cons" in my opinion:
My only previous grinder was a 2 piece "name brand", and was very thick and heavy metal. This item is fairly thin (but certainly strong enough - just without as much heft as I'm used to).
Opening the compartment that the crushed herb falls into takes several turns. It would be cool if the thread was more coarse and took less twisting to open.
I wish the holes that the cut herb fall through were slightly smaller, and I wish the screen at the bottom was a little *less* fine. The cut herb is *slightly* more coarse than I'd like because of the hole size, and you get very little pollen because only very pure, very small pollen will fall through the screen. After dozens of uses, there is a small speckling of pollen in the bottom most compartment; I thought it would be more. Sometimes I see what is clearly pollen that doesn't fall through screen. What you do get in the bottom is very fine and very pure, though.
I'm being picky with my criticisms - this works well enough, the quality is decent, and the value for price is fantastic. A similar "name brand" grinder is $80-$100, and this is $16. Totally worth it at that price.
