I roll my own cigarettes, and have been using saved marlboro boxes to put them in, but eventually cardboard does wear out.
These plastic boxes are hard plastic, can be dropped without breaking, can be placed in pocket or purse and your smokes are safe.
I bought three, should have bought a few more.
I recommend these flip top boxes for anyone who rolls their own cigarettes.

Very sturdy hard plastic. The hinge spring is actual metal. Had it for a few month, even dropped it a couple of times on concrete and the case didn't break.

I bought four of these and four King size packs, same brand and seller. We live in NY, and due to the outrageous taxes, find much more economic to machine roll (Tops - the original, great little machine b/t/w), our cigarettes. This product fits the bill for all our packaging needs. Hold 20 cigarettes, top stays attached to the bottom (flip top design), crush proof, great moisture and spill protection (unlike tradition/commercial cardboard boxes!!), drop proof (the top does come off it is dropped from high enough and on a hard surface...but easily snaps back into place), easy to pack, easy to open (but does 'click' shut so it does NOT open on its own), all in all well worth the money! You will save the cost over time with the elimination of wasted and crushed/bend cigarettes, and if your are anything like me - a little clumsy - wet ones too. Even if you DON'T roll your own and can still afford commercial cigarettes - this is a much have. I roll enough cigarettes for the week, and store them in these cases, put into a ziploc freezer bag, and also have no problems with 'stale' cigarettes. They are fresh right down to the last smoke out of the last case. I spend less time rolling as well, making them in bulk saves being a 'slave to the machine'!

These are nice, but whether it is king size or 100's they only hold 18 cigaretes.

Perfect E-Cig Case Too Sep 17, 2011

I got this case for my E-cigarette batteries. With a little bit of foam, super glue, and determination, I was able to make this a great little case for carrying five of my batteries at a time.
This case is great quality for the price. It is durable and would surely be effective in preventing the crushing of cigarettes, or, if you're like me, you can very easily turn it into a custom e-cigarette case.
