I use this on all my old 70's hippie memorabilia and it cleaned it all right up making it legal to transport. I know it says it will do acrylics but dont try it! Either they shipped me the wrong stuff or something because it ate a nice acrylic piece i had left soaking.

submerged a *filthy* one for an hour and was extremely skeptical. I still cannot believe that it cleaned the sticky tar out like it was dust

This is by far the best stuff to use on glass pipes. You just submerge
for an hour or so, rinse in hot water and the grunge is off.
